Apicoectomy (root-end resection)

When re-endo is not feasible, we remove the infected root tip and lesion, seal the canal retrograde and preserve your tooth.

  4. Closure
    Hemostasis and suturing; post-op instructions.
  5. Follow-up
    Review in 7–10 days; suture removal if needed.

Indications

  • Chronic apical periodontitis / cystic lesion.
  • Orthograde re-treatment not feasible or failed.
  • Separated instrument/post blocking the path.

Aftercare

  • Cold compress 10–15 min on/off during first 6–8 h.
  • Avoid vigorous rinsing for 24 h; brush carefully away from sutures.
  • Soft diet 1–2 days; avoid heat, alcohol, sports for 48 h.
  • Take prescribed analgesics/antiseptics as directed.
  • Contact us if pain/swelling/bleeding increases.
