Aftercare

Before your appointment: important
Keep the crown or denture fragments. Do not use household glue or grind the appliance. If it is unstable or injures tissues, stop wearing it until advice is obtained.

A loose crown or broken denture needs assessment
Not every crown can simply be re-cemented: the fit, supporting tooth and reason for loosening must be checked. A broken denture also requires assessment of its base, bite and supporting tissues. At MasterDent, repair, relining or replacement is discussed as appropriate.
An urgent visit does not guarantee same-day repair. Laboratory work or treatment of a supporting tooth may be necessary. Keep all fragments until the appointment. Household glue can damage tissues and the appliance and complicate professional repair.

Can I glue a crown at home?
Do not use household glue. Keep the crown and have the tooth and fit assessed.
Can every crown be re-cemented?
No. Decay, tooth fractures or damage to the crown may require another solution.
Can a denture be repaired in a day?
Timing depends on the material, damage and laboratory work. It is agreed after assessment.
What should I bring?
Bring the appliance and all recovered pieces, even those that appear unusable.
Can I wear a broken denture?
If it is unstable or injures tissues, stop wearing it pending advice. Do not grind it yourself.
What if a denture rubs?
Professional assessment and adjustment are needed. Do not tolerate significant pain or modify the base at home.
When is replacement preferable?
Severe wear, tissue changes or repeated fractures may make a new appliance more appropriate.
How is the price calculated?
Cementation, repair and relining are different procedures with separate price-list items.
