Dental sedation: preparation and monitoring
Sedation may be considered when anxiety, age or treatment needs make a routine appointment difficult. The anesthesiologist determines the method and depth after assessing the patient’s health. Sedation and general anesthesia are different approaches and should not be selected on the service name alone.
At MasterDent, the dental plan, preparation and anesthesiologist’s fees are agreed beforehand. After treatment, the patient remains under observation until discharge is approved. Instructions about food, medicines and an escort are provided individually.

How is sedation different from general anesthesia?
The level of consciousness under sedation depends on its depth. General anesthesia involves a different level of control. The anesthesiologist selects the method based on health and the treatment plan.
Is sedation suitable for everyone?
No. Medical conditions, medicines, allergies and previous anesthesia experiences must be assessed. Further investigations or another method may be recommended.
Can children receive dental sedation?

How should I prepare?
