Why treat a baby tooth if it will fall out?
Baby teeth support chewing and preserve space for permanent teeth. Decay can cause pain and infection before natural shedding. The dentist assesses whether the tooth can be restored and how long it is expected to remain.
Does every mark on a child’s tooth need a filling?
No. Marks have different causes. The dentist checks whether decay is present and whether a cavity has formed. Early lesions may be managed preventively; a cavity may need restoration according to the diagnosis. Fluoride treatment for children.
How should I prepare my child for cavity treatment?
