Which teeth can have sealants, and when?
The dentist assesses chewing-surface grooves, enamel condition and decay risk. Sealants are often considered after molars erupt, when the surface can be cleaned and isolated properly. Age alone is not enough to decide.
Can a tooth with decay be sealed?

How are sealants different from fluoride treatment?
