When it’s reasonable
- Newly erupted permanent molars with deep/narrow fissures.
- Stained fissures without caries (invasive sealant).
- High caries risk: frequent snacks, ortho appliances, poor hygiene.
- By doctor’s recommendation after professional cleaning.
Aftercare
- You can eat right away; avoid very sticky/very hard foods on day one.
- Brush twice daily; use floss as advised.
- If a sealant chips off - book a check for touch-up.
- Routine checkups every 6 months or as advised.
