Implant-supported prosthetics: components and stages
The implant in bone and the visible crown are different parts of a restoration. Compatible components, including an abutment, connect them. At MasterDent in Pozniaky, restorative planning considers implant position, tissues, bite and access for daily cleaning.
A single crown, bridge and implant-retained removable prosthesis serve different purposes. Fixation and loading time are determined individually; not every situation permits an immediate permanent crown. Regular monitoring remains necessary after restoration, and a loose component requires examination.

Are an implant and crown the same thing?
No. The implant is the support in bone, the abutment connects components, and the crown restores the visible tooth portion. The design depends on the system.
When can a permanent crown be fitted?
After implant stability and tissues are assessed in agreement with the surgeon. Immediate loading is possible only in selected situations.
Screw-retained or cement-retained fixation?
The choice considers implant position, service access and tissues. Cement-retained restorations require careful control of excess cement.
Can you restore an implant placed elsewhere?
First we check the system, compatible component availability, implant position and tissues. Bring the implant passport and previous records.
Is the abutment included in the crown price?
This must be clarified in the individual estimate. Do not assume every price-list item includes all components.
Is hygiene around an implant necessary?
Yes. The restoration and surrounding tissues need daily cleaning; your dentist selects tools and a professional recall schedule.
What if the crown moves?
Avoid loading it and contact your dentist. The cause may involve components or tissues; do not tighten or glue it yourself.
What makes up the total treatment cost?
Surgery, components, temporary and permanent restorations and additional procedures are agreed separately. Crown prices do not represent the entire treatment package.
